Being Psychic
I've been asked how I see things...know things and when this began in my life. I know from a very young age I just knew stuff..The first I recall in detail is when my grandmother crossed over. I heard an ambulance going by and just knew where it was going...I didn't think much about it only felt a sadness about what was happening.....I was 8 years old.
I believe we're all born with psychic abilities ...some stronger than others but everyone can develop and strengthen their skills. (and yes, it takes time for some of us ) Usually when we are young we're discouraged from talking about this knowledge and often well-meaning adults tell us it isn't real.....
At age 16 I was taking a drive with my cousin. We had decided where we were going and the route we were going to take. Cruising along and talking and listening to music and laughing along the way, I just pulled over and was turning to go back in the direction we had come. She asked me what I was doing and I just said, "I don't know, I just felt we should turn around." I didn't hear a voice or have a vision or anything I just knew. We talked and she convinced me to go on as we planned and we did. Not too far from that spot I hit a pothole, lost control of the car and we ended up wrecking (and totaling) that borrowed mustang. Neither of us had major injuries but she did have to spend the night in the hospital.
Another time a year or so later I was driving on a mountain road covered in snow and sleet on my way to work. I was in a hurry and became stuck behind a large truck carrying a HUGE piece of equipment on a trailer. I could not get around it no matter how I tried. It was tossing wet and dirty snow up on my windshield and I was constantly using my wipers and fluid so I could see....the fluid finally ran out and I had to stop somewhere to get more or get some fresh snow and clear off my windshield. I had it all planned...I knew exactly where I would stop ....but for some reason I pulled my car off sooner..I was really annoyed with myself for not sticking to my plan but I got out, grabbed handfuls of snow and cleared my view and jumped back in and took off in a rush to get to work on time.
Right before I got to the place where I had planned to pull over I saw an amazing thing...the chains holding the equipment on the trailer had snapped and the enormous thing had rolled off and landed on the pavement....Had I not pulled over when I did , I would have been in that spot (since I had been tailgating the truck ) I was quite shaken by that experience and promised to listen to my intuition from that day no matter how silly it seemed (or annoying) at the time.
Fast forward 2 years. I had moved to another state and had landed a job in a city I knew nothing about . On the first day of work , the woman who hired me took me to meet the boss. As we were being introduced I heard (very clearly) "This is the man you're going to marry." I said (to myself) "WHAT??" and the same thing was repeated. I was in shock and thought I had completely lost my mind. I had never seen this man before, didn't hear his name as we were introduced because of the information I was being given in my head! I couldn't really see him as I had not put in my contact lenses (I was running late again)...I could only see he had dark hair and a mustache...and I could hear his New York accent...no idea if he was married...his age...nothing!
I was 19 and marriage was NOT on my list of things to do for a very long time. I had a plan for that too and it was at least 10 years away before I was going to even start thinking about those things!!
This is the man I married....and it wasn't in my planned time frame either.
There are so many more examples where my intuition has guided me...kept me safe or opened new doors for me....
I'll tell more at another time....and how I learned to develop and work on this gift, these feelings, this knowing and how much more has been shown to me .....and continues to become stronger...
