My oldest son went on a business call and gave the new client his card. The man said "I knew someone a long time ago with the last name _______ it's an unusual name but I'm sure  you're not related...he was from NYC" (we're no where near there) He told of the place he worked with this man...my son said "Yeah, that's my Dad"

The client went on to tell stories about his Dad...his love of sailing, his favorite treat of diet pepsi and m&m's and how he was teased about that combo...and even told my son how his Dad and I met .....

And he remembered how excited his Dad was the day our son was born.....seeing his son for the first time is something he talked about often.

My son called me right after that meeting....asking questions and being so excited that he met someone who actually knew his Dad......(he crossed over in 1996)

I told him it was like his Dad was talking to him through this man......how amazing it was that he was actually working the day after Christmas and this man needed his help....

My son had just gotten engaged a few days earlier

It was an amazing holiday treat...

oh, and it was also my sons birthday!!

No one could ever make me believe this was "just a coincidence"

His Dad had given him a birthday present......and it was perfect....
