I've been busy since getting  back from our "quick trip"..in a good way.
We took the jeep wrangler on the 150 mile trip....the top off...
Not a care in the world
The day was a perfect one weather wise......was actually one of the hottest days so far in the season but no one noticed (for most of the ride anyway) Not much talking going on and we were all in our own world listening to the music and imagining how the days would go...
We arrived before the rooms were  ready so we changed in the lobby bathrooms and went to the beach!
I left the group and wondered around the resort...checked out the 3 swimming areas, the lazy river......and took a walk on the pier (pictured in previous post).
This is where I met new clients......unplanned escape opened another door for me.

When the rooms were ready , everyone tried to get to the showers first ...I was in no rush and while waiting for my turn I  picked up a book I've been reading and fell asleep....

I remember dreaming peaceful dreams....

When everyone was ready to go to dinner I decided to stay and enjoy the view, the ocean and the breeze...took a hot shower a little later and picked the book up and....fell into my dreams again....

No one knew where I was and nothing could touch me....

Everyone slept late the next morning. I couldn't believe I had slept so long ....I  have been lucky to get 5 hours a night at home.
Another perfect day.....not a cloud in the sky...
I spent the day on the beach, at the pools, walking around ...and I finished the book I was reading.
Time for dinner again and we all got ready. While driving there I asked them to drive by a favorite place of mine..I'd been going there since I was 15 I decided to go there and told all to call me after they were finished and we'd head home. I jumped out of the jeep...

Things had changed alot over the years. I walked around to see the new sights.... a band was playing on the boardwalk ...

I didn't think the place I wanted to go was open but after  a while saw that it was and went there..... enjoyed the music and laughter ..people coming and going and some stopping to talk to me. Some were from my home state and we talked about what was happening there...

Got a text about 12:30..."we're here".
I walked outside to meet them. Time to go home..
One man that I had been talking to came outside..he asked if I was there this time last year...I hadn't realized it had been the same week that we vacationed there last year ....He reminded me we had met last year and similar things happened....I was meeting up with others and left the place early Small world...

The drive home was amazing...still with the top off and the night sky was full of stars..it was a perfect time...
